And it begins! The much awaited Nilgiri winter harvest is here and we are starting with our favourite green tea, this has been out of stock since a while and we are happy to have it back! The estate making this tea runs through a steep valley ranging from 5400 to 6900 feet. We believe the tea makers in Nilgiris have completely aced their green tea technique and nowhere else in India we get such exquisitely crafted greens!
The dry leaf has a sweet and fruity aroma, resembling honey and guava. When placed on the heated ware, you can experience notes of coconut milk and freshly cut grass. As you start sipping, you can experience a hint of fruitiness with a touch of honey and grass. As you sip further, fruit notes of guava, lime and grapes come to the front, while you can experience apricots and mosambi in the aftertaste. The touch of grass makes it punchy while the honey and creamy notes soothe your palate. There is also a hint of ripe mangoes, although not very prominent, it elevates the taste for sure!
