Pu’er or Pu-erh, pronounced as poo-air, is a unique variety of tea from the Yunnan province of China. Pu’er tea is usually pressed/shaped into cakes and/or balls and is a post-fermented tea. The fermentation here involves microbial fermentation and oxidation of the leaves, post the drying and rolling.
We, at Ketlee, are offering the first ever Indian made Pu’erh Style Tea. Our growers at Manipur, have prepared this exquisite tea from leaves picked from 250+ year old plants, rather trees. The tea tastes just as unique as it sounds. With the sweetness of raisins, it brings the aroma of forest wood blended with cocoa and wild honey. The very visual of the leaves opening and dancing while you brew them is a delight to experience. Pu’er tea ages like fine wine, and can mellow and improve with age. Out of the numerous health benefits derived from Pu’er, the Chinese credit it most with promotion of weight loss and laud its digestive properties.
Having said and done, we encourage you to taste, experience and enjoy this wonderful tea.
