A delicious blend of golden bud black tea and BOP grade CTC from Arunachal Pradesh. One of the first milk tea blends we've made in-house. This has one part golden buds black tea and four parts BOP CTC. Both the teas come from the Summer 2022 harvest, the best time for bold black teas!
The dry leaf aroma is malty with hints of milk chocolate. When placed on the heated ware, it blasts off a jaggery like sweet aroma. The liquor is brisk with fruity notes like peach greeting you on the first sip, the astringency comes right on the finish. The raw fruit notes are more prominent once it cools down.
When brewed with milk, it makes for a chocolatey chai, with the golden tips adding the sweetness and CTC adding the strength. One of the more fine milk teas, you'd enjoy it for its complexity and pronounced sweetness. We'd recommend trying it in all styles, English Breakfast style with a dash of milk and sugar to taste, full on Indian chai boiled with milk, sugar and water and black to actually taste the tea!
