Introducing a blended Indian sheng for the first time. This has late spring and early summer maocha from 2020. This easy to consume form is great for travelling as well as if you just want to give this category a try. Made from the good old tea trees in Manipur, this blend expresses the best of both seasons, the spring vigour and the summer sweetness compliment each other well. Two years in Manipur has done this tea good and it is very soothing to drink.

The dry leaf has a woody aroma, resembling agar and cedar wood. After the rinse, which we recommend for openeing up the leaves, the wet leaf has aroma of ripe peaches, golden raisins and menthol, with a touch of gooseberry on the finish. The first steep has delicious notes of red berries, honey and apple jam. The sweetness lingers on for a while and one could describe even the first brew with more complexity, we leave that to you with this! The second infusion has notes of sweet gooseberry preserve(आंवला मुरब्बा) and has hints of cedarwood, there is a peachy tone as well, closer to raw peach this time. The third infusion has dominant honey note with the same sweet gooseberry preseve note. The fourth infusion makes it even sweeter with raisins, honey and sweet woody notes of cedarwood. This is the profile which continues and the liquor keeps getting sweeter with notes of brown sugar also making an appearance in the later steeps.
